Standards: ISO6330-2012, GB/T 8629

Fabric Shrinkage Test Method

  1. Turn on the main power switch of the fabric shrinkage tester. The instrument will display the startup interface. Press the [Main Interface] button on the screen to enter the main interface. The main interface displays six main sections: manual program, automatic program, custom program, about this machine, test terminates, and dehydration speed. The dehydration speed can be set to the regular speed of 500 rpm or the high-speed dehydration rate of 800 rpm. Regardless of whether the manual program, automatic program, or custom program is selected, the running dehydration speed is determined by this parameter. Once any of the [Manual Program], [Automatic Program], or [Custom Program] buttons are selected, the dehydration speed cannot be changed. Only after pressing the [About This Machine] button and exiting the selected function will the dehydration speed become adjustable again.
  2. Before conducting a test, the user should prepare the test sample and the accompanying washing fabric. Open the instrument’s door, place the test sample and the accompanying washing fabric inside, and close the door once the required test weight is reached. Users can choose manual operation, automatic operation, or custom operation according to their needs to perform the test.
  3. After the test is completed, please turn off the power.

Maintenance and Care of the Fabric Shrinkage Tester

  1. To ensure safe use, the instrument must be reliably grounded.
  2. For normal operation, the instrument must be placed on a solid surface. During installation, ensure that the four adjustment feet are in firm contact with the ground and are not tilted, to avoid strong vibrations during dehydration.
  3. Be sure to remove the transport fixing plate before use; otherwise, the instrument cannot be used.
  4. The external water inlet pipe must be securely fastened to prevent water from entering electrical components, which could cause electric leakage and damage the components.
  5. Regularly clean the fabric fibers from the filter to keep the drainage pipe clear.
  6. Do not open the front glass door while the instrument is in use or when there is water inside the drum to prevent water leakage or burns.
  7. The front door must be closed before starting the machine. If the front door is not closed properly, pressing the start button will not work, and the instrument will not operate.
  8. If any mechanical or electrical faults occur during use, immediately disconnect the power supply and have it repaired by professional personnel or sent to the manufacturer for repair.
