A Universal Material Tester is also known as a universal tester. It measures the tensile strength of various materials. Universal strength tester is widely used to ensure product quality in the textile, plastic, rubber, automotive, and composite development sectors.
The material that has to be tested is clamped through the two clamping jaws. One jaw is static, while the other is moveable. The specimen is pulled through the bottom jaw by applying mechanical force through an electric motor.
The material tends to elongate until it breaks. The high-precision load cell measures the applied force and gives the test results through software.
