The Y(B)571-III Color Fastness Tester is a specialized textile appliance designed to measure the color fastness of textiles, leather, and other materials when subjected to rubbing or brushing. It operates by placing the fabric on the testing platform, and a standard white rubbing cloth is attached to the rubbing head. By selecting dry or wet testing, the machine moves the rubbing head back and forth at consistent pressure and speed. After completing the test, rubbing cloth is examined for color transfer, and results are determined by comparing with grading standards.
