The YG(B) 033E Digital Elmendorf Tearing Meter is a precise instrument designed to determine the tear resistance of various fabrics, including woven and non-woven, thick papers, and even electrical tape. This device uses the Elmendorf method to provide accurate measurements of the fabric´s durability and quality.

A pre-cut fabric sample is tightly clamped between two jaws. The test starts by releasing the pendulum arm, which tears the sample into two parts. The force required to tear apart is measured digitally. The microprocessor system processes the data and shows it on the digital screen.
