How to test Single Fiber Strength

In this article, we will demonstrate a lab procedure to test single fiber strength using DaRong’s Electronic Single Fiber Strength Tester YG(B)008E

This test follows standard GB/T 14337.
Select and condition the specimens according to the standard.
Switch on the power.
Launch the testing software.
Connect the instrument.
Go to “File Operation.”
Create a new file.
Select the test method.
Set test parameters according to the standard:
Number of tests,
Load range,
Preload tension,
Gauge length,
Test speed,
Force unit,
Sample name,
Linear density.
Enter the specified elongation percentage based on customer requirements.
After setting, click “Save.”
Click “Confirm.”
Click “Reset.”
Click “Tare” to zero the force.
Mount the sample.
Attach the appropriate tension clamp to the lower end of the specimen.
Click “Clamp.”
Click “Start.”
Begin the test.
Test completes.
One set of results is obtained.
Repeat the test for remaining specimens using the same procedure.
After all tests are completed, export the report.

This test follows GB/T 6504 Method A – Extraction Method.
